Before Care

  • Do not work out on the day of the procedure

  • Do not tan (sunbathe/spray tan/tanning bed) up to one week before the procedure

  • Do not consume ibuprofen, aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, alcohol, fish oil, coffee, or caffeinated beverages 24 hours before the procedure as these products may cause excessive bleeding. Minimizing the bleeding will ensure the best possible results and longevity of the make-up application. If the bleeding is abnormal, we may need to stop the procedure prematurely

  • Please do not wax, tint, or receive any botox injections before the procedure.

  • Do not wear any eye make-up (mascara or eyeshadow) on the day of the procedure. Your eyes may water, eye make-up may cause discomfort

  • Please make sure that you eat light on the day of your appointment to prevent the feeling of being lightheaded.

  • You may contact us to request a patch test at least 72 hours before the appointment. Please keep in mind that a patch test does not guarantee that you will not develop a reaction. If you do not request a patch test, you may waive it on the consent forms.

After Care

Day

1-2

Your brows will appear very dark. Please do not panic, as they will heal 50% lighter. It is imperative that you do not put anything on the brows or touch them with your bare hands. Continue to blot the brows every ten minutes or whenever necessary to prevent lymph build-up.

Day
3-14

Gently wash the brow area daily in a circular motion with antibacterial soap and rinse the soap off lightly. Pat your brows dry with a paper towel. Start putting a tiny amount of ointment on the brows with a cotton swab, NEVER with your fingers, as they may contain bacteria and can cause an infection. The brows should not appear greasy, glossy, or shiny. If they do, you have used too much.

Your brows will begin to scab and peel. THIS IS NORMAL. DO NOT PICK AT THE SCABS. Let them fall off naturally. If the scabs come off prematurely, the color may come off, and there may be scarring.

Please DO NOT wash the brows are during the scabbing phase so that the scabs do not fall off prematurely.

After your brows finish peeling, they will appear very light. THIS IS NORMAL. Your brows will begin to get their color back over the next few weeks.

Important

Failure to follow the before and aftercare instructions may result in infections, pigment loss, or discoloration.

If the skin around the eyebrows breaks out in a heat rash or small pimples, this is usually a reaction to the numbing solution and should go away by itself in a couple of weeks. Please call immediately if this occurs to document the reaction and follow up to ensure that this is not a severe reaction.
