Do you have a question about our services?
You’ve come to the right place. Take a look down below at our most frequently asked questions to see if we can help. If your question isn’t listed, please reach out to us directly to speak with a member of our team. We would be more than happy to connect with you and offer you more assistance.
-
What are you doing to protect against viruses and infections, including Covid-19?"Health and safety are our number one concern. We will continue to follow protocol by sanitizing before and after each appointment using CaviCide medical grade disinfectant. We will be wearing a mask for the entire duration of the procedure, and we require that our clients also wear a mask. We will take your temperature before the procedure with a non-contact thermometer. If your temperature is over 99.00, you will need to reschedule your appointment to a later date (+14 days). If you are displaying any signs of sickness, you will need to reschedule until your symptoms subdue. You will need to use hand sanitizer/wash hands before each appointment, and we will continue to do the same. Failure to follow our guidelines will prevent you from making any appointments in the future.

What is microshading?Microshading is a unique process also known as ombre brows or eyebrow embroidery. The procedure is performed using an electric hand tool with a round needle that inserts pigment into the top layer of the skin. It is designed for people with sensitive skin, is less invasive than microblading, and provides a fuller, softer result.
-
How do I know if I am a good candidate for Microshading? Please review our before and aftercare section of the website to know if you qualify.
-
Are microblading and microshading the same thing? They are not! In fact, they are two entirely different practices. Microblading leaves tiny, natural-looking hair strokes, while microshading leaves small, pinpoint dots that create the whole look. At Sensational Eyes, LLC, we do not offer microblading. However, we do have plans to provide Nano Brows, something similar, in the future. Please subscribe to our email list and follow our business pages on Instagram and Facebook for updates.
-
How long does the microshading procedure take?It can take anywhere between 3 to 4 hours to complete the procedure, depending on the extensiveness of your look.
-
Is microshading painful? The best part about microshading is that it is relatively painless. While there may be some discomfort during the procedure, pain is minimal. Additionally, we provide a topical local anesthetic numbing gel to help avoid excessive discomfort due to irritation during the process.
-
How will the shape of the brows be determined? Each face is different and unique. The goal is to create brows that complement your bone structure. We will perfect the brows using various measuring tools to achieve the look you desire most. Please understand that eyebrows are twins; however, they are not identical. We will do everything in our power to ensure that the brows are symmetrical.
-
How long does it take to heal? The standard time frame for the healing process is 10-14 days. Each individual is different. Some may heal faster than others, and we ask that you follow the aftercare procedure for the best results.
-
Is there any downtime after the procedure? Most people will resume normal activities immediately following the appointment. There is a possibility of some swelling, redness, and soreness at first. Please know that any irritation caused by the procedure will subdue within 24-48 hours. Be sure to follow the aftercare instructions in their entirety for the best results. If you notice an allergic reaction, please reach out to your artist immediately.
-
How is the color of the ink determined? Our goal at all times is to ensure that the brows remain natural in shape and color. Therefore, your natural hair color will determine the color of the ink.
-
How long will the brows last?Following the aftercare instructions is vital to the care of your brows. Typically, microshading will last for 1-2 years after the initial touch-up. However, this time frame can change depending on your skin type and lifestyle.
-
When can I return to my daily facial routine? To receive the best results, we recommend waiting at least 14 days before using any facial products. Waiting for the necessary time frame will keep the possibility of infection very low.
-
Will my eyebrows grow after microshading?Yes. Microshading does not stop hair growth.
-
Can I get my brows waxed before microshading?Waxing could cause temporary inflammation and irritation to the skin. For this reason, we do not recommend receiving brow waxing services.
-
Is there an age requirement? You must be 18 or older to receive permanent makeup services in the state of North Carolina.
-
